RE: Ruiodoso NM - Looking for Place

If you are planning on staying on the Lincoln National forest, it is all currently close due to high fire danger. The concessionaire run CG in the forest are still open, no open campfires or walking outside the CG area. You might check the Lincoln NF web site for more info All the private campgrounds in both Ruidoso and Cloudcroft are open. Pray for rain, very dry here.

RE: B & W Companion

I don't think that you did anything wrong. I have to loosen the u-bolts and the bolt in the top of square tubing to remove pin. I don't think that there is anyway around it to remove the hitch.

Dolph, that is the park that I was planning on checking into further. Will try to drive there in the next day or so.

RE: Ruidoso, NM RV Park with Cabins

I live in Ruidoso and know of no such park that has both RV spaces and cabins. Plenty of RV parks. I will do some more research and post if there is any that maybe that I have overlooked

RE: Cloudcroft NM this week (January)

You might try this campground, it is just off highway 82 east of Cloudcroft. The website is:www.cloudcroft-rv.com. Enjoy your time, be prepared for cold, was 5 degrees this morning at 7:30 in Ruidoso.

RE: Yamaha EF2400IS generator operating at high altitudes?

Thanks for all the good info. I'm sure that I'm buying the Yamaha 2400 and a jet for the high altitudes. I really enjoying all the good information at the forums, I think the DW might cut me off of the computer soon because of all the time that I'm reading the different forums. Merry Christmas

RE: 62/180 Texas, New Mexico

I don't know what direction you will be coming from but I would suggest taking US70, it is a 4 lane highway all the way to Las Cruces. West of Cloudcroft(Elevation of 9000') on 62 it is a steep , crooked road. I believe it is an 8% grade, has sign that truckers must stop and check brakes before proceeding if that gives you and idea of the road. Of course any road in the winter and mountains can be bad with a snow storm.

Yamaha EF2400IS generator operating at high altitudes?

I'm looking at purchasing a Yamaha EF2400IS generator. I live at an elevation of 7000 feet and often camp at elevations up to 9000 feet. Will the EF2400IS operate properly at these elevations or will it need to be rejetted? Post moved from TT Forum to Tech Issues Forum Moderator - TT Forum
